PHIWUG visits Polytechnic University of the Philippines ICT Conference

Last September 2013, I got this another invitation from Polytechnic University of the Philippines students inviting me to deliver a talk to them about Information Technology. This time I decided to involve PHIWUG on this event as I would like these students to experience a new seminar approach and the number of attendees is around 200+.

Through John Delizo's approval, we accepted and granted PUP's invitation and we brought the PHIWUG team to their campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila. As expected it was very fun and exciting, all the students seemed to be satisfied with the topics we discussed. :)

The first speakers were John Delizo and Isamu Shinozaki.  They are both Microsoft MVPs and Isamu was a former employee of Microsoft Philippines. They discussed and demonstrated Office 365's Exchange, Outlook and Lync features. They emphasized how cloud computing could help their everyday school activities.

Then the next presenter was me, since my forte is about IT security I discussed and demonstrated them the importance of IT security knowledge, data privacy and private information. I think IT security caught up their attention especially when I started demonstrating actual hacking. Of course everything I demonstrated is for educational purposes only. :)

Then here goes the question and answer portion about my topic.

The last and final speaker was Faelmar Tanada who discussed about Windows To Go. As expected, the audience enjoyed his presentation as I personally consider Faelmar as a power speaker!

And of course, the other event pictures we had.
